Farewell to Insulin Shots

For more than 10 years, my blood-sugar level was persistently high and I needed medication to control it. There was a period of about six months when the level shot up dangerously, to between 220 mg/dL and 230 mg/dL.

At the same time, my glycosylated hemoglobin level was at 10.8 percent. (Editor’s note: Glycosylated hemoglobin HbA1c can accurately reflect a patient’s blood-sugar control rate. The closer the value is to the standard value, the better the blood-sugar control level. The normal range is within four to six percent.) I was ordered to inject insulin daily at doses of between 16 ml and 20 ml. This caused a lot of inconvenience when I traveled. As insulin must be kept refrigerated, I had to find ways to keep the insulin cold.

Encouraging Results

In May 2017 I chanced upon a copy of Meditation & Health magazine at a clinic. A meditation journal on Energy Bagua fascinated me. In August I participated in the Energy Bagua foundation course at New Taipei Haishan Bodhi Meditation Center.

On the third day of the class, there was an odor of grass seemingly emitted from my body. In the two days that followed, I continued to smell this grassy odor in my perspiration, and it was stronger after my bath. By the fifth day, the smell was gone. During those few days, my blood-sugar level had been decreasing. On the fifth day it was at 110 mg/dL, within the normal range.

After the course, I continued to walk Energy Bagua daily for an hour. My blood-sugar level is stable at between 110 mg/dL and 130 mg/dL. I’ve stopped my insulin injections. (Editor’s note: Bodhi Meditation does not advocate reduction or discontinuation of medication and treatment without seeking a doctor’s advice.) In November my medical report showed that my glycosylated hemoglobin had also dropped to 8.8 percent.

In addition, my spouse’s eyesight has improved through learning Energy Bagua. Our happiness motivates me to introduce it to my friends and neighbors. Being healthy is the greatest wealth.

The intent of the testimonial is to offer wellness information of a general nature. Individual results of practice may vary.
