On April 12, 2015, Bodhi Meditation hosted the third “Embracing the Sun: Thousand-People Energy Bagua” event in Malaysia. Grandmaster JinBodhi attended the event to demonstrate Energy Bagua and explain the wonder behind it to 1,500 people. One girl, Chen Libin, secretly made a vow: “I must listen to Grandmaster JinBodhi and complete 108 days of Energy Bagua!”

Wave goodbye to cold hands and feet

“Why are your hands so cold?”

I have been weak since I was young, and I am terrified of the cold. In Malaysia, where air-conditioning is everywhere, I wore socks and long-sleeved clothes almost every day. My hands and feet were always cold and people around me were shocked when they touched my hands, saying they were as cold as ice. Since childhood, I had to watch my diet. My mother would not let me eat ice cream or vegetables and fruits with colder properties such as cabbage, white radish and pears. I remember a time when I couldn’t resist secretly eating half a pear. As a result, I had to frequently run to the toilet and was very uncomfortable.

My parents took me to both Chinese and Western doctors, but they only said that I had a weak constitution and needed to take more supplements. Therefore, my parents often cooked various nutritious and medicinal soups for me. Growing up, I took countless supplements but had no improvement. My menstrual cycle was also erratic; sometimes, I would not get a period for more than two months. I was very depressed during those years and often wondered how a young girl could live like a helpless old woman.

Welcoming the Warm Sun in Life by Walking Energy Bagua

On April 12, 2015, I participated in the third “Embracing the Sun: Thousand-People Energy Bagua” event in Malaysia. On that day, many people came to the stage to share their benefits from Energy Bagua. Everyone was excited that Grandmaster JinBodhi was at the event to explain the concept of Energy Bagua and tell stories that related to it. My heart was filled with excitement, surprised that Energy Bagua contained so many wonders despite seeming so simple!

In fact, I’d already experienced walking Energy Bagua towards the end of 2014. That was the first time I practiced Energy Bagua. Before that, I wouldn’t even sweat while running. But after just 10 minutes of walking Energy Bagua, I started to sweat which felt very comfortable. Although I felt good practicing Energy Bagua for the first time, I didn’t take this slow-moving fitness method seriously and didn’t persist with the practice. On the day of the event, the testimonies and Grandmaster JinBodhi’s amazing speech shocked me greatly, especially when Grandmaster said that Energy Bagua can tremendously help girls with cold hands and feet. Therefore, I told myself: Libin, you must practice Energy Bagua and complete the 108-day goal!

Since then, I have gotten up at 5:00 a.m. every morning to practice Energy Bagua. After a week, my palms were noticeably warmer. My clothes were often soaked with sweat every time I practiced. After the walk, my body felt relaxed. After 108 days of walking, a blood clot discharged during my menstrual cycle. Since then, my menstrual cycle has been normal. My body is now warm and my hands and feet are no longer cold. Now I can wear short sleeves in an air-conditioned office. I can eat pears, cabbage and white radish that I didn’t dare eat before, and I occasionally eat ice cream!

Energy Bagua is like the sun, filled with energy and injecting warmth into my life. Now I share my story of practicing Energy Bagua with the hope that more people in the future can benefit from it and find their warm sun in life!
